16 Years of Bliss…

orcas

Last weekend, the wife and I shared our 16th wedding anniversary a couple of weeks early at our favorite little spot along the beautiful and rugged Oregon coast.

Five kids altogether, and our first grandchild this year has made life with her fun, interesting, and crazy some days. And, just so you know, woman, I’d do it all over again… Being with you is truly what ‘marital bliss’ should feel like.

It was she who pulled me back into photography. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, everything about it. But, like many, life and work can take a whole lot out of you, especially at the beginning of these early 2020’s!

Of course, I would like to get a new mirrorless camera, my gorgeous little woman, but I guess I can wait a little longer… (I laugh!).

She knows how I am with the latest and greatest toys out there.

She is right, though, I can wait. What I have learned over these wonderful years is that she is right about 99% of the time, too! Ha! She is right about the photography, as well. I am finding myself reinvigorated once again.

This week, I’ll be heading out into the midst of winter to snap some shots on my morning walks, once again. Besides, I’ve been losing weight with the regular job, and the walks will help.

I love you, Christine. When it comes down to it, I love the Good Lord, my wife, my children, and this photography journey, and all in that order.

Thank you for 16 great years. Some of it was hard, and some of it was easy. Either way, I’ll take any day with you, hard or easygoing.

I love you…, your husband, who is right 1% of the time… Ha!

God bless and talk soon,

David.
