Here I was, trying to hide from the world when something mysterious, and even a bit wondrous, but scary, entered it. I never expected my life to include tragedy, redemption, and a legend come to life.
At the time, tragedy was my middle name. I sought refuge in the middle of nowhere, but I never knew what was lurking there; I never would have guessed it in a million years.
