The Oregon coast is beautiful. Sometimes, in the winter and fall, it seems almost mysterious, shrouded in fog and mist. This sunset photo was taken about five years ago on a warm summer night, well, as warm as the Oregon coast can get that time of evening.
My wife loves camping. Whether it is in a yurt, a tent, or a cabin, as long as it is within a mile or one hundred feet of a beach along the Oregon coast, she is in heaven.
Of course, the kids and I try to convince her of how great it would be to camp next to a pristine mountain lake in the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range. But, in the end, Momma gets what Momma wants. After all, she does so much for us; we are happy to oblige.
It’s not that we don’t love it along the coast! Don’t get me wrong, but sometimes a change of pace is nice. In the end, however, being anywhere with you, beautiful woman, is where I want to be, and the kids can deal! Ha!
This photo was taken while standing on a four-foot embankment looking down over the beach. Our cabin was literally on top of it, and our campfire was right behind me. Talk about breathtaking.
Nothing in a photo, I believe, can give justice to what our very own eyes can see and feel when out and about in His creation. But, as someone who loves this type of artistic expression, I’ll snap off all the shots I can of it.

Talk soon, and God bless,
